Technology for Adelaide tradies.

You cannot answer the phone with your hands inside a wall. That single fact costs trade businesses more than anything else on this page. Everything here is aimed at making sure the job still lands while you are on the tools.

Never miss a call Quotes followed up Reviews on autopilot

The maths

A missed call is usually a lost job.

Someone with a burst pipe or a dead switchboard rings three businesses and goes with whoever picks up. They are not leaving a voicemail and waiting. If you miss five calls a week and one in three would have converted, work out what that is worth over a year — for most trades it is a very uncomfortable number.

This is the cheapest problem on the list to fix, and it is the one most often left alone because it does not feel like a technology problem.

Missed-call text back

The call goes unanswered and an automatic text goes out within seconds: sorry we missed you, what do you need, we will call back. Cheap, fast to set up, and it recovers jobs immediately.

AI receptionist

A step further. It answers, has a real conversation, works out what the job is, captures the address and details, and texts you a summary. Genuine emergencies get flagged.

After-hours handling

Evening and weekend calls captured rather than lost, with urgent ones escalated according to rules you set.

After the call

Quotes that go out and never get followed up.

The second most expensive habit in a trade business. The quote gets sent, the customer is comparing three, and the one who follows up gets the job. Following up manually is the first thing that slips when you are flat out — which is exactly when you have the most quotes outstanding.

01

Quote sent

Logged automatically when it goes out, so it exists somewhere other than your sent folder.

02

First follow-up

A short, polite check-in a few days later. This alone converts a meaningful share of quiet quotes.

03

Second reminder

Timed for when they will have decided, offering to answer questions rather than pushing.

04

Flagged to you

If it is still quiet, you get told, so a decision to let it go is a decision rather than an oversight.

Getting found

Being the trade that comes up in your suburb.

For trades, local search is close to everything. Someone types the trade and the suburb, and the businesses in the map results get the calls. Getting into that pack is mostly about your Google Business Profile, your reviews and having a real page for each service you offer.

  • Google Business Profile set up, categorised and kept current
  • A page per service, so you appear for the specific job searched
  • Service area content that is genuinely useful, not spun suburb pages
  • Review automation, because reviews are the biggest single lever
  • A website that loads fast on mobile data in a driveway
  • Click-to-call on every screen, above the fold
  • Quote forms that ask enough to price the job without a site visit

Running the business

The admin side.

Job management

Getting off the whiteboard and the group chat. Scheduling, job notes, photos and sign-offs in one place your team can see from a van.

Booking and reminders

Customers book or confirm, and reminders go out the day before. Fewer wasted trips to an empty house.

Review requests

Triggered when the job is marked complete, which is the moment a happy customer will actually write one.

Accounting integration

Job data flowing into Xero or MYOB rather than being re-entered on a Sunday evening.

Microsoft 365

Proper business email, shared calendars and files reachable from a phone on site.

Backups and security

Your job history, photos and customer records backed up, and MFA on the email account that receives your invoices.

Questions

Before you ask us.

I am a one-person business. Is this overkill?

Missed-call text back and review automation are the two that a sole trader should have, and both are inexpensive. Everything else on this page can wait until you have someone else on the tools with you.

Will an AI receptionist annoy my customers?

Handled badly, yes. Handled well it is considerably better than voicemail, which is what it is actually competing against. We set it to be brief, to say what it is, and to get a person for anything urgent. You will hear the recordings before it goes live.

What does a trade website cost?

It depends on how many services you want a page for. A focused site for a sole trader is a much smaller job than a multi-service business wanting to rank across several trades. We quote a fixed price after a short conversation.

Can it book jobs straight into my calendar?

Yes, though we usually start with capture-and-notify so you can see it is getting the details right before it starts committing your time.

I already use a job management app. Will this replace it?

No, we would connect to it. Most of the common trade platforms can be integrated, so quotes, jobs and follow-ups flow rather than being re-entered.

How quickly does missed-call automation pay for itself?

Usually within the first month or two, because it only takes recovering one or two jobs. It is the clearest return of anything we set up for trades.

Next step

Tell us what you need.

You do not need to know what to call it. Describe the problem in your own words and we will tell you what it takes to fix — and what it costs — before you commit to anything.
